DJ nEr0 has been mixing music since 1994 and started spinning records shortly after moving to San Francisco in 1999. He has played alongside Freq Nasty, Lee Coombs, Doc Martin, Keoki, DJ Zeph, Jason Bentley, Jeremy Sole, BLVD, Beats Antique, Mimosa and a host of talented musicians. nEr0 creates a diverse and pervasive sound, bending genres with a focus on seamless mixing, lyrical jabs, dubbed out wobble bass, heavy head nodding and tribal atmospheric layers.
nEr0 moved to Sydney, Australia in 2004 and was booked to play at monthly parties in King’s Cross vibrant nightclub scene and underground hip hop at a weekly in Bondi Beach, which featured regular MC cyphers and drop ins from big names in the industry within the smoke-filled basement of the area’s finest restaurant.
After Australia, nEr0 moved to Costa Rica and teamed up with Ernold Sane to throw a series of full moon parties on the beaches and in the jungles of Santa Teresa, Mal Pais and Montezuma. Later playing in the desert at Burningman rekindled his love for breaks and the new sounds of dubstep. Most recently, nEr0 has been influenced by the emerging sounds from artists such as Bassnectar, Bluetech, Random Rab, Mimosa, Beats Antique, Dr. Toast, Tipper and Ooah.
nEr0 stole his name from the Roman emperor who preferred music, parties and orgies to politics and war. He was also known for playing his flute as Rome burned to the ground. Click to stream or download mixes below. Peace & Love!
